Registration / Application Process

  • The registration/application pack consists of a registration form, eligibility criteria and rules.
  • Eligible participants will be given an information pack consisting of an Enterprise Information Form, BDP rules and a Letter of Agreement. These have to be filled-in, signed and submitted, physically through a regional SIDO / ZNCCIA office or online through the website of the Business Development Gateway.
  • The application period is between 03rd October and 28th October 2011. Late application will not be considered.
  • Info pack cost is Tshs. 2000/- this is payable in cash through SIDO & ZNCCIA/ZIFA offices.
  • Application fee is Tshs. 10,000/-. This fee is payable by entrepreneurs who are selected for the first training session. Fees can be paid in cash.
  • The participants will have to be physically present at the training venues in person to attend training. They will be required to pay Tshs. 10,000 per term.
  • Every participant must agree with the rules of the BDP and sign and agree with the Participation Letter of Agreement.

Grants

  • Participants must have or be ready to open a bank account in order to receive award money. On the mainland of Tanzanian this must be an account with NMB; on Zanzibar it must be an account with the People's Bank of Zanzibar.
  • Grant awards are non-transferable, non-routable and non-extendable.
  • Grant awards are subject to the laws of Tanzania, including tax regulations, as maybe applicable to certain participants.
  • Grants are to be used for business operations. Grant receiving participants are requested to sign a Grant Usage Form.

Disclosure of Information and Confidentiality

  • Participants must agree to disclose their business information. This business information will be treated as strictly confidential and used only for diagnostics and statistical purposes. In case, it’ll be required to have information for promotional purposes, only general registration details and personal data will be used.
  • The trainers and the organizers are highly respected professionals who regularly deal with confidential information in the course of their work and will take the utmost care in handling entries with confidence.

Language

  • Both English and Kiswahili are used in the Business Diagnostic Programme. However, Kiswahili shall be the language used in all training workshops.
